One Day Workshop on Self Employment through Fisheries
One dayworkshop on ‘Self Employment through Fisheries’ was organized jointly by Shri R.L.T. College of Science, Akola, NSS Unit, Department of Fisheries, Govt. of Maharashtra, Office of the Asst. Commissioner of Fisheries (Tech.), Akola. The workshop was held on 19th Dec. 2018 at adopted village Aapoti (Kd) under the gidance of Principal Dr. Vijay D. Nanoty andMr. Suresh R. Bharti, Asst. Commissioner of Fisheries, Akola. Damodhar Kadu (President of K.S.P. Society, Aapatapa), Dinesh Dhope (Asst. Fisheries Development Officer, Mahan), Lakshmitai Ghuse (Sarpanch, Aapoti (Kd) graced the inaugural function. Dr. Archana Sawarkar, Coordinator of workshop delivered introductory remark and introduced the guests. Damodhar Kadu guided the gathering on the benefit of adopting self employment. In the first session, Dinesh Dhope guided on Aquarium keeping maintenance & employment opportunities. He also informed about various schemes implemented by Fisheries Department of Maharashtra Govt. In the second session, Prof. Ranjana Dharmale, Brijlal Biyani College, Amravati, explained about Introduction tofishes & their caring. Dhope gavedemonstration on Construction of fish aquarium. In the concluding session, Dr. Sanjay Tidke (Dist. Coordinator N.S.S., Akola)informed about various schemes implemented under Unnat Bharat Campaign and Baliraja Chetna campaign. In his presidential speech, Dr. Umesh Bhalekar called upon youths to look at self employment with positive attitude. Dr. Sudhir Kohchale conducted the programme whereas Dr. Samadhan Munde proposed vote of thanks. Coordinator Dr. Archana Sawarkar and organizing committee members Dr. Sudhir Kohchale, Dr. Rashmi Joshi (Sawalkar), Mr. Sunil Gupta, Miss. Sonali Gawande, Mr. Shailesh Jaiswal, student representative Mr. Govind Andhale, Miss Yashshree Daberao and NSS volunteers took efforts for success of workshop.
